| Maine Coon Cat |
The Maine Coon is often referred to as a "gentle giant" due to their large size and calm temperament. They are long haired and come in many different colors.
Pictured here is Shadow, he was a very good boy. |
 |
| Persian Cat |
Persian cats have been a long coveted breed. They have distinct squished faces, and are often long haired. |
 |
| Siamese Cat |
The Siamese cat has been around for centuries, and they are known for their distinct "pointed" fur pattern.
This pattern is a visible heatmap of the cat, the colder parts of the cat (the points) are darker!

| Ragdoll Cat |
The Ragdoll cat is another cat that has "pointed" markings, similar to the Siamese cat. These cats are known for the luscious long locks and playful temperament. |

| American Long Hair |
The American long hair cat isn't so much a breed as it is a description. Due to the very successful journey of cats domesticating themselves over centuries,
many cats have various breeds' DNA. Pictured here is Laura, who has been my companion for 15 years. |

| American Short Hair |
The American short hair cat is likely the most common cat breed, they are genetically diverse and can come in a variety of different colors. Their temperaments are
also varied, though there are some common behavioral traits associated with their colors. Pictured here is Nina, she has been my companion for 8 years. She is a female orange cat.
It is rare for orange cats to be female because both parents must carry the "orange" gene. Orange cats are known for being silly. |
